2012 Prayer

"My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead. Not that I have already reached the goal or am already fully mature, but I make ever effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus." Philippians 3: 10-12

Where in the World is the Zbylot Family?

Where in the world is the Zbylot Family?  We have asked ourselves the same question this last month!  As crazy as the month of July was for our family, it was an extremely blessed and encouraging month.

We began the month with our family vacation as we toured around Texas to visit family.  After picking up Scott, Nathan, and Peter from Kidz Camp we made our way over to Wimberly to visit Scott’s uncle and aunt.  We had a great time visiting and spending time with them as we kayaked down the San Marcos River and a nearby lake (Sorry I can’t remember the name.  It has been over a month.)  As we entered into the San Marcos River, Scott received the phone call from Silver Springs Baptist Church announcing the church had passed the vote to call Scott as their pastor.  What a memorable time as God has once again changed the direction He has for our family.  We said our good-byes with promises to visit soon and turned north to Weatherford.

Having not seen my sister and her family since March of this year, it was a blessing to be in their home and catch up on life.   Our families headed to Legoland with nine children ages 2-12.  Yes, happy is the house whose quiver is full (Psalm 127:5) for we had nine happy children as the parents watched with overflowing hearts of thanksgiving for the blessing of such children.   After swimming, spending time with cousins and shooting fireworks we left my sister’s and the six of us landed at Southwestern Baptist Seminary to see the Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit.  We spent over three hours there and the children enjoyed it too!  It was so fascinating and we encourage anyone who is in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to attend.  You will be blessed.  We even made it on the local T.V. channel (we are about halfway through the clip).  We ate our sack lunch on the beautiful campus of Southwestern and then blazed a trail to Six Flags.  After an eventful and thrilling time spent on roller coasters, we loaded up once again and head further north to Bonham.

Arriving late in the evening to Scott’s Granny’s home, we slept soundly and rose to another day of spending time with extended family.  Food, swimming in the Red River, fireworks, cousins, aunts, and uncles topped off our family vacation as we headed home to begin a new leg of our journey here on earth.

With bittersweet thoughts and memories we spent our last official Sunday at FBC Tomball on July 8th.  From there Scott began his duties as Senior Pastor of Silver Springs Baptist Church the following day while our children left to visit their cousins in Richards for the week and attend their VBS.

I know you are probably glad to hear about where we have been this past July, but if you notice, all that has been said up to this point happened within the first 13 days of July.  We still have 18 left!!  While the first 13 were tremendously fun, refreshing, and greatly needed, the last 18 left us basking in God’s faithfulness as we watched Him over and over answer prayers and move in ways beyond our imagination.   Unfortunately, if I were to share everything in this one blog post, you would be reading for over an hour.  So, as much as I hate to do this, I will have to stop for the time being and share more at a later time.   Until then, please continue to pray for our family as the Lord places us on your hearts.

My Heart’s Prayer:  Lord thank you so much for Your unfailing love for us.  Thank You for allowing us glimpses into the work You are doing even when we can not fully see the bigger picture.  Lord thank You for a time to get away and spend time with family and share with one another our joys and burdens.  Thank You for sustaining us during a busy season of our lives.  Lord, I love You.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
“God Your faithful love is so valuable that people take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.  They are filled from the abundance of Your house; You let them drink from Your refreshing stream, for with You is life’s fountain.  In Your light we will see light.”
Psalm 36:7-9
